Instant Rips gives you a new way to experience collecting in real time. Instead of waiting for a physical pack to arrive, you buy a pack on [Fanatics Collect](https://www.fanaticscollect.com/) or on a [Fanatics Live](https://www.fanatics.live/home) stream and see your card revealed instantly. Every card is authenticated, graded, and verified before it’s sold.

## **How it works**

1. Purchase an Instant Rip pack on Fanatics Collect or on a Fanatics Live stream
2. Your card is opened and revealed instantly on the stream or on your app
3. The physical card is securely stored in [The Vault](https://support.fanaticscollect.com/en_us/the-vault-ryZxlahWZl)
4. From there, you can:
    * Keep the card in your collection
    * List it for sale in the Fanatics Collect Marketplace
    * Request to have the card shipped to you directly

You also have the option to trade your card for Instant Credit:

* Receive 90% of the card’s market value\*, minus 6% Marketplace Fees, in credits when you accept the Instant Credit offer within 48 hours
* Credits can be used for future purchases
* Choosing this option forfeits the physical card in exchange for credit
* Once the Instant Credit option is chosen, it cannot be undone

_\*Instant Credit values are based on_ _a card's market value at seal date._

## **Storing Instant Rips**

You’ll need a Fanatics Collect account to store an Instant Rip in your vault. If you already have one, your card is added automatically as soon as it’s ripped.

## **Frequently Asked Questions:**

What is in a pack?

* Each pack contains a single graded card.

What is a checklist?

* A checklist is the full list of cards that can be in a given pack, so you know exactly what you are ripping for before you buy. Think of it like the menu for that pack: it shows the cards in the pool and how they break down by tier, which is what sets your odds. Cards are usually grouped into Base, Chase, and Grail. Every Instant Rips pack has a checklist you can view on its product details page before you buy.

Can I see my odds before I buy?

* Yes. Because the checklist for every pack is published to the pack’s product details page, you can see what is in the pool and how the tiers are distributed, which tells you your odds of pulling each tier for Fanatics Collect. On Fanatics Live, you can view the floor and ceiling values within the pack descriptions.

Where do the cards come from, and are they authentic?

* For Instant Rips, the cards are graded and are provided and managed by Fanatics, so you know what you are getting.

What happens to my card after I pull it?

* Your pulled card is delivered straight to your Fanatics Vault and can be viewed from your Collection tab. From there you can keep it stored safely, have it shipped to you, sell it later, or, if Instant Credit is offered, sell it back to us right away for Instant Credit.

What is the Instant Credit feature?

* After you rip, you may be offered Instant Credit: the option to sell the card you pulled back to us. If you accept, the credit is added to your account and the card transfers back to Fanatics. If you would rather keep the card, just let the offer expire.

How much is an Instant Credit offer worth, and how long do I have?

* Instant Credit offers are typically about 90% of a card's market value at seal date, minus a 6% fee. For example, if a card is worth $100 when it was added to the Instant Rips, the initial offer could be around $90 (90% of $100). After the 6% fee, $5.40 is deducted, a collector would receive $84.60 in Instant Credit. Instant Credit offers are available on all Fanatics-owned rips (not Seller-Packed Instant Rips) and they typically stay open for 24 to 48 hours. You can see any active offer on your Collections page, where it shows a countdown timer on cards eligible for Instant Credit.
* Instant Credit is locked at the pack time, so the card value may go up or down between packing and ripping. The floor and Instant Credit offer are always based on the pack-time value.

Can I cancel or get a refund after I buy a pack?

* Because the rip happens instantly and reveals a real card that goes straight to your Vault, Instant Rips purchases are final. If something went wrong with your purchase, please [contact support](https://support.fanaticscollect.com/en_us/contact-support-HJO070magl).

How do I get a card shipped to me, and what does it cost?

* When you rip, your card goes into your Fanatics Vault. There is no shipping fee on the rip purchase itself. Whenever you are ready, you can request to have it shipped to you from your Collection for a small fee. Shipping a card out of the Vault uses standard Collect vault shipping.

What is the Fanatics Vault, and is there a fee to store my cards there?

* The Fanatics Vault is secure storage for the cards you pull or own on Fanatics Collect. You can see everything from your Collection tab and keep cards vaulted as long as you like, ship them, or sell them. No storage fee is applied to your Instant Rips purchases.

My app crashed or the reveal froze during a rip. Did I still get my card?

* Yes. Your result is recorded the moment your purchase goes through, so even if the animation stalls or the app closes, the card you pulled will be waiting in your Vault and visible from your Collection tab. If you still do not see it after reopening the app, we can manually deliver your card to your Vault.

The value of my card does not match what was shown. What happened?

* Card values move with the market, sometimes within a single day (a big game or an injury can shift prices quickly). The value of the card is based on guide pricing at the time of sealing the packs, so the real market value may be higher or lower by the time you pull the card. All cards will be at or above the floor value at time of sealing. If you think there is a significant mismatch, reach out to our Support team and we will take a look.

What is the Expected Value for my Instant Rip?

* The Expected Value displayed on the product page is not a guaranteed minimum value for the card you will receive. It represents the estimated average value across all cards available in the pack at that time, taking into account the value of each card and the odds of receiving cards within each value tier.
* The Odds and Expected Value section shows the percentage chance of receiving a card within each listed value range. For example, a pack with a $25.86 Expected Value may still include cards valued between $12.01–$17, as shown in the odds chart, while also containing higher-value cards that contribute to the overall expected value.
* Card values are based on available market data at the time the pack is sealed. Because market prices can fluctuate, the value of an individual card may increase or decrease after the pack is created or purchased. The odds are also calculated based on the number of cards available within each price tier compared with the total number of cards remaining in the pack and may change as cards are revealed.
* The Expected Value should be understood as an estimate across the pack's possible outcomes rather than a representation or guarantee of the value of an individual pull.

How do the floor and expected values work?

* Floor value is the guaranteed minimum value backing the card in a pack and it's locked in at the time the pack is packed/sealed, using Card Ladder pricing. The expected value (EV) is _not_ a guaranteed minimum. It's the estimated average value across every possible card in the pack, weighted by each card's value and the odds of pulling it, so a pack with a $25.86 EV might still include cards as low as $12–17, offset by higher-value cards elsewhere in the pool that pull the average up. EV is a statement about the pack's overall outcomes, not a promise about what any one pull is worth.
* Card values (and therefore EV) are based on market data at the moment the pack is sealed, since prices move, an individual card's value can drift up or down between packing and the actual rip.

Are the cards graded, and who does the grading?

* The cards in Instant Rips are graded, so you can trust what you receive. Instant Rips packs contain cards from all major grading services.

How do I know the odds shown on a checklist are accurate and fair?

* Every pack publishes its full checklist and its odds by tier before you buy, and we keep checklists updated as the market shifts so the stated odds and value stay consistent. You are always ripping for the exact pool shown on the product details page.

**Availability and Eligibility**

Can I use Instant Rips in my country?

* Instant Rips is available in select countries, and some individual packs may also be limited by location. If you cannot see or buy a pack, it may not be available in your region yet.

Is there a minimum age to use Instant Rips, and is this considered gambling?

* Instant Rips is a digital pack-opening experience for collectors aimed at building their collection: every pack has a published checklist and odds, and every rip delivers a real, guaranteed trading card. Like the Fanatics Collect app, Instant Rips is available for collectors ages 18 and up.

**Responsible Shopping**

Are there limits on how much I can rip?

* We want ripping to stay fun and focused on building your collection, so we have a couple of gentle safeguards. If you make a lot of purchases in a short window, you may see a friendly check-in reminder. If you keep going, we may pause new Instant Rips purchases for a short period (around 12 hours).

I'm temporarily blocked from buying. What does that mean?

* This is a built-in responsible-shopping safeguard, not a penalty on your account. The pause is temporary (about 12 hours), after which you can rip again. The message you saw also includes free, confidential help resources if you want them.
